In a successful operation aimed at addressing public grievances, the Kishtwar Police Cyber Cell has traced and recovered 11 stolen mobile phones, collectively worth lakhs of rupees.
The Cyber Cell, responding to multiple complaints of missing phones, worked diligently to locate and retrieve the devices, providing relief to the owners who had lost them.
The recovery operation culminated in a formal handover of the mobile phones by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom. During the handover ceremony, he appealed to the public to take greater care of their mobile phones due to the sensitive personal data stored on these devices.
He emphasized that the loss or theft of phones not only causes financial loss but also exposes individuals to potential misuse of their personal information.
The recipients of the recovered phones expressed immense gratitude towards the Kishtwar Police, particularly appreciating the relentless efforts of SSP Qayoom and his team.
Many of the owners had feared that their devices, along with the data contained in them, were lost forever. Their relief and happiness were evident as they lauded the police’s dedication and swift action.
