In a continued effort to enforce traffic regulations in Kishtwar district, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, under Operation Third Eye, have issued challans to 107 violators for various infractions, including wrong parking, riding without helmets, and overloading vehicles.
The operation, led by SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom, aims to enhance road safety and curb traffic violations in the region.
The police team, equipped with technical aids such as CCTV surveillance and videography, meticulously captured evidence of the violations. The identification of offending vehicles was facilitated through a number plate reading system.
After determining the residential addresses of the vehicle owners, the police sent copies of the challans along with photographs documenting the traffic rule breaches directly to their homes.
This method ensures that violators are held accountable, even if they are not immediately present at the scene when the violation occurs. By sending challans to the residences, the police emphasize the seriousness of traffic rules and the importance of adhering to them for the safety of all road users.
The list of vehicles involved includes a wide range of registration numbers, showcasing the scale of the operation and the variety of offenses committed.
This crackdown on traffic violations is part of a broader initiative by the Kishtwar Police to improve road safety and ensure that all motorists comply with the Motor Vehicle Act.
Operation Third Eye continues to be a crucial tool in the district’s efforts to maintain law and order on the roads, demonstrating the police’s commitment to upholding traffic regulations and protecting the community.
