J&K DGP RR Swain Vows to Combat Terrorism with Army Support
Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, RR Swain, has firmly stated that the police, in collaboration with the Indian Army, are committed to curbing terrorism in the region.
Assurance Amidst Recent Encounter Aftermath
Following a recent encounter in the Bajimaal area of Dharamsala, which resulted in the loss of five soldiers, including two Army Captains, DGP Swain reassured the public about the forces’ determination to fight terrorism.
Citizens Urged to Stay Alert
Emphasizing the importance of public vigilance, DGP Swain encouraged citizens to remain alert, acknowledging the challenges but affirming the will to overcome adversarial intentions.
No Local Support for Terrorists
Addressing the recent encounter, DGP Swain clarified that the terrorists involved were foreign and lacked local support. He highlighted the enemy’s reliance on terrorism for their political and economic agendas.
Significant Blow to Terrorism
The elimination of a top LeT commander and sniper, known as Quari, in the recent encounter, is seen as a major setback to terrorist activities in the area. The army’s recovery of substantial ‘War Like Stores’ from the site further underscores the success of the operation.
Honouring the Fallen Heroes
In a solemn tribute, army officers and soldiers were seen paying homage to their fallen comrades, demonstrating the forces’ respect and remembrance for those who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
