Jammu’s River Tawi Bridge to Host Stunning Diwali Waterfall
Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) is embarking on a series of initiatives to enhance the aesthetics of Jammu, famously referred to as the ‘City of Temples.’ As a part of this ambitious endeavor, a remarkable artificial waterfall is set to grace the River Tawi Bridge in time for the upcoming Diwali festival.
Valued at INR 1.75 crores, this waterfall project aims to not only contribute to the ongoing beautification efforts in Jammu but also to entice tourists who flock to the ‘City of Temples.’ An official shared their excitement about the upcoming addition, stating, “This bridge-based waterfall, the first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir, is an investment of INR 1.75 crores in the River Tawi Bridge.

“Rahul Yadav, the Chief Executing Officer (CEO) of the Jammu Smart City Limited project, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “We believe that this unique waterfall will undoubtedly captivate tourists and passersby, and we anticipate that it will be operational in time for the Diwali festival.
“Diwali, a widely celebrated festival throughout the country, is set to take place on November 12.The innovative fountain will be positioned along the barrier and railing wall of the bridge, as confirmed by an official. “The water from the River Tawi will be elevated to create the magnificent waterfall, which will span an impressive 100 feet,” the official added.
