Jammu Traffic Police E-Rickshaw Drive: 106 Challans, 16 Seizures Ensure Compliance
The Traffic Police City Jammu, under the leadership of SSP Traffic Fiesel Qureshi and Additional SP Rajpaul Singh, initiated a targeted campaign against e-Rickshaws. The operation spanned across the entire city, with DySP Traffic officers Vikram Kumar, Farha Nishat, and Satish, along with their respective teams, strategically placing checkpoints at various locations.
Throughout the operation, a meticulous examination of essential documents such as Driving Licenses, insurance papers, and RC (Registration Certificate) was conducted. The outcome revealed that 106 challans were issued, and 16 e-Rickshaws were confiscated for operating without proper documentation, in violation of various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The Traffic Police City Jammu emphasizes the importance of compliance among e-Rickshaw drivers. They are urged to adhere to assigned routes, follow traffic regulations, and refrain from overcharging or overloading passengers. Additionally, drivers are instructed to affix proper number plates and complete all necessary formalities with the Regional Transport Office before commencing their routes.
This initiative aims to ensure the safety, legality, and orderliness of e-Rickshaw operations within the city, promoting responsible and lawful practices among drivers.
