Jammu-Srinagar Highway Reopens After Temporary Closure

Commencing Monday, the strategic Jammu-Srinagar national highway, which had been temporarily closed for vehicular movement, is now open for traffic.

According to a statement from a Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police official, “Normal traffic flow has been restored on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Dalwas. Commuters are urged to adhere to lane discipline and refrain from overtaking.”

Over the past few days, persistent snowfall in the Kashmir Valley has significantly disrupted daily life. This weather event led to the cancellation of all flights at Srinagar airport on Sunday.
