Jammu Police Solve Attempted Murder Case, Arrest Suspects in 24 Hours

Jammu, 21 July 2024 : In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu District solved an attempted murder case within 24 hours, arresting two suspects.

On the evening of 20th July 2024, Sh. Tanvir Kumar reported a horrifying crime at Police Station Janipur. According to his statement, around 7 pm, his brother, Paramjeet Kumar, was attacked by two masked individuals at his shop.

The attackers, armed with a Toka, inflicted severe injuries on Paramjeet’s arms before fleeing the scene.

Responding swiftly, Police Station Janipur registered a case under FIR No. 83/2024 U/S 109/333/3(5)/351(3)/115(2) BNS 4/25 Arms Act. Inspector Sumeet Sharma, SHO PS Janipur, led the investigation with critical support from PSI Sharaz Ahmed.

Using advanced technical resources and persistent investigative efforts, the police team swiftly identified and apprehended the suspects, Arun Dogra Kumar @ Annu of Ward No 37, Janipur Colony, and Ajay Kumar @ Lounji of Panssai Pream Nagar, currently residing in Bantalab Jammu.

The police also recovered the weapon used in the crime, along with clothing and other items used by the accused to conceal their identities.

Further investigations are ongoing to ensure all aspects of the crime are thoroughly examined.
