Jammu Kashmir Govt Says Reservation Policy Review Report Submitted, Awaiting Approval
The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday informed the Legislative Assembly that the Cabinet Sub-Committee tasked with reviewing the reservation policy has completed its work and submitted its report, which is now under consideration.
Responding to a query raised by Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, the government said the panel has finalised its assessment and forwarded its recommendations to the competent authority for examination.
Officials clarified that the report has not yet received formal approval and will only be implemented once it is cleared through the due process.
For now, the government said, the existing reservation framework and related statutory provisions remain unchanged, with no interim modifications introduced.
