J-K Government Reconstitutes Board of Directors for Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre

Srinagar, June 21 — The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the reconstitution of the Board of Directors for the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), a key move aimed at enhancing the administrative and strategic functioning of the region’s premier convention facility.

The reconstitution, notified through Government Order No. 761-JK(GAD) of 2025, dated June 20, 2025, supersedes all previous orders on the subject. Issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the new structure brings together top officials from multiple departments to streamline operations and reinforce the role of SKICC in Jammu and Kashmir’s tourism and business sectors.

The newly appointed board includes senior government officials across sectors such as tourism, finance, planning, and administration. The board will now consist of the following members include; Hon’ble Minister, Tourism Department – Chairman, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister – Director, Chief Secretary, J&K – Director, Administrative Secretary, Finance Department – Director, Administrative Secretary, Tourism Department – Director, Administrative Secretary, Planning Development & Monitoring Department – Director, Director Tourism, Kashmir – Director, Managing Director, J&K Tourism Development Corporation – Director, and Director, SKICC – Ex-officio Secretary to the Board of Governors.

The Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre, situated along the scenic Dal Lake in Srinagar, has emerged as a leading venue for major conferences, business meetings, and global summits, including the recent G20 engagement.
