The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is calling for online applications from qualified individuals interested in joining its academic faculty. The university has openings for five Associate Professors and six Assistant Professors, spanning various departments.

Prospective candidates have until March 11, 2024, to submit their applications online. Additionally, hard copies must reach the university’s Registrar office by March 18, 2024. Positions are available in the following departments: Architecture, Planning and Geomatics, Environment Sustainability and Climate Change, Centre for Vocational Studies, and Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction.

For the Department of Architecture, applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or its equivalent, complemented by a master’s degree in architecture or allied subjects, with a minimum of 60 percent marks at either level. Candidates interested in the Centre for Vocational Studies should come from diverse fields such as science, social science, or humanities.

Aspiring candidates for the Department of Disaster Risk Reduction need a master‘s degree with 55 percent marks in Disaster Management, Geology, Geoinformatics, Geography, Earth Sciences, or Earthquake Engineering. Those applying to the Department of Environment Sustainability and Climate Change must hold a master‘s degree with 55 percent marks in Environmental Science, Forestry, Climate change, Meteorology, Geology, Geo-informatics, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Physics, or Environmental sustainability.

All candidates are required to have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission or an equivalent test accredited by the UGC, such as SLET/SET, or possess a PhD degree awarded by the UGC. Interested individuals must apply online through the university website and pay a 1000 INR application fee through online mode.
