IT authorities unveil 24×7 control room, toll-free helpline for 2024 Lok Sabha elections
The Directorate of Income Tax (Investigation), Delhi, has implemented proactive measures to ensure clean and fair elections for the General Elections to Lok Sabha, 2024. These measures include the establishment of a 24X7 Control Room and the launch of a toll-free mobile number.
Curbing Black Money Influence
The primary objective of these initiatives is to curb the influence of black money in elections and monitor suspicious movements of cash, bullion, and other valuables within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi during the Model Code of Conduct period.
Encouraging Citizen Participation
As part of its commitment to assist the Election Commission of India, the Income Tax Department urges residents to actively contribute to maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
The toll-free number (1800112300) and designated landline numbers (011-23232312/31/67/76) have been provided for residents to report any relevant information anonymously.
