Inter-School Zonal Tournament for Boys and Girls Ends in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, JUNE 01: The Inter School Zonal Level Tournament for U14, U17 boys and girls in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Football, Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Carram, Chess, Tug of War, Yoga, Cricket, Athletics organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports concluded today at Bhaderwah.

The tournament commenced on May 27, 2024 and a total of 1217 Boys and 635 Girl student players of 35 government and private schools of Zone Bhaderwah participated.

On the concluding day, the host school Principal Dr. Nazir Ahmed was the chief guest, while ZEO Shafiq Ali was the guest of honour.

NCC commandant Arif Raina and other officers/ officials were also present on the occasion.

Chief guest Dr. Nazir Ahmed, appreciated the organizers and the participating schools for their display of sporting skills, teamwork, and dedication. He added that the hard work of the Physical Education Masters, Physical Education Teachers and REKs reflects in the performance of the schools which secured positions on the finish podium.

Chief guest Dr. Nazir Ahmed, stressed the importance of physical activity and urged students to play and engage in sporting activities at home, post-school time, as a means of staying away from being glued to their mobile phones.

The matches were officiated by the technical committees consisting of sports Phy. Edu. Masters, Physical Education Teachers and REK Teachers ensuring fair play and a competitive spirit throughout the tournament.
