India’s General Election Dates Announced
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar revealed the schedule for the general election, spanning 543 Lok Sabha seats, in seven phases commencing on April 19. Counting of votes is slated for June 4. The Election Commission of India (ECI) also disclosed the dates for state Assembly elections, detailing the phases and corresponding constituencies.

The Lok Sabha elections will unfold in seven phases, beginning on April 19 and concluding on June 1. Each phase encompasses various states and Union Territories, ensuring comprehensive electoral coverage across the nation. Notable dates for nomination submissions and polling delineate the electoral timeline.
Vast Electorate and Moral Code of Conduct
Approximately 97 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots for the Lok Sabha constituencies. With the announcement of election dates, the moral code of conduct has been enforced, necessitating stringent adherence to guidelines by District Magistrates and SPs to maintain a fair electoral environment.
