Indian Stock Markets Hit Record Highs as Tech Stocks Surge
The Nifty and Sensex broke out of a two-week range to achieve record highs, driven by a significant surge in technology stocks—the most substantial in nearly three-and-a-half years.
The optimism is fueled by expectations that rate cuts in developed economies will boost software spending by companies in those regions.
The Nifty reached a record 21,928.25, while the Sensex touched a fresh high of 72,720.96 before settling slightly lower.
The bullish outlook suggests that IT stocks are poised to join the rally, marking a positive shift after a year of underperformance.
