Indian Navy Signs MoU with Arvind Limited for Advanced Uniform Fabric
The Indian Navy has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with textile and apparel company Arvind Limited for the supply of technically advanced uniform fabric. The fabric is designed to be anti-fungal, anti-microbial, and anti-bacterial, specifically developed for tropical conditions. It incorporates improved moisture management technology and features a higher whiteness index lasting through multiple washing cycles. The collaboration aims to enhance the quality and performance of the Navy’s uniforms, addressing the unique requirements of maritime environments.
In a separate development, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces Chief of Staff, Admiral Fahad Abdullah S Al-Ghofaily, visited New Delhi, reinforcing naval cooperation and collaborative measures between Saudi Arabia and India. The visit emphasizes the longstanding relationship between the two nations, marked by regular port calls of Indian Navy ships at various Saudi Arabian ports.
