One of the standout moments of the day occurred in Athletics, where Avinash Mukund Sable set a new Asian Games record in the 3000-meter Steeplechase event, clocking an astonishing time of 8 minutes and 19.5 seconds to secure a gold medal. This remarkable feat not only brought glory to the nation but also showcased India’s growing dominance in track and field.

In the field events, Tajinder Pal Singh Toor displayed his mettle in Shot Put, successfully defending his gold medal with an impressive throw of 20.36 meters in the Men’s Final. Meanwhile, Sreeshankar’s remarkable leap in the long jump earned him a silver medal, contributing to India’s ever-growing medal count.
Shooting Brilliance and Historic Golf Success
India’s prowess in shooting was on full display as the team of Kynan Darius Chenai and Prithviraj Tondaiman secured the gold medal in the Men’s trap event. This achievement marked the end of the shooting events with India’s best-ever Games performance, accumulating a total of 22 medals, including seven gold.
In a historic moment, Aditi Ashok made history by becoming the first Indian woman golfer to claim a silver medal in the women’s individual golf event. Her outstanding performance showcased the rising talent in Indian golf and inspired aspiring female golfers.
