India International Trade Fair Returns to Delhi, Tickets Available at DMRC Stations
The much-awaited India International Trade Fair (IITF) is set to commence in Delhi from November 14 to November 27, held at the iconic Pragati Maidan. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced the availability of entry tickets at 55 metro stations across the city.
Tickets for Business and General Public Days
Starting November 14, tickets for the ‘business days’ segment of the fair (November 14–18) will be on sale. Subsequently, on November 19, tickets for the ‘general public days’ will be available. These tickets can be purchased from customer care centers at selected metro stations, including Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda), Dilshad Garden, Shahdara, Inderlok, and many more, from 9 am to 4 pm daily.
Measures to Prevent Overcrowding
To avoid overcrowding and ensure smooth passenger flow, IITF tickets will not be sold at the Supreme Court metro station, which is nearest to the Pragati Maidan.
Diverse Exhibitor Participation
The IITF will host around 3,500 exhibitors, including international participants from the UAE, Iran, Thailand, and other countries. Additionally, representatives from 13 nations, such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Oman, Egypt, and others, will be showcasing their products. Various central government ministries, public sector units, and commodity boards will also participate.
Fair Timings and Traffic Advisory
The trade fair will be open from 10.00 am to 7.30 pm. In light of this event, the Delhi Police has issued a traffic advisory. Roads like Mathura Road, Bhairon Marg, Ring Road, and others are expected to experience congestion. The advisory suggests alternate routes for those not attending the fair to avoid traffic delays.
Entry and Exit Points for Visitors
For visitors, entry will be allowed through gates number 1, 4, 6, and 10, while the entry for exhibitors will be from gate numbers 1, 4, 5b, and 10. Special entry points are designated for media persons and ITPO officials at gates number 5-B and 9 and 1, respectively.
