In a profound tribute to the brave martyrs of the Jammu & Kashmir Police, the Anantnag Police has launched a plantation drive under the initiative titled “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam.” This significant event was inaugurated at the District Police Headquarters Anantnag by SSP Anantnag, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, who was joined by SP Headquarters Anantnag, Sajad Ahmad.
The event saw the heartfelt participation of the families of the police martyrs, along with other officers and personnel from Anantnag Police, who gathered to pay their respects and contribute to the cause.
The plantation drive was also carried out at the District Police Lines Anantnag, overseen by DYSP DAR. Both locations witnessed the planting of numerous trees, symbolizing the remembrance of the supreme sacrifices made by police personnel in the line of duty.
The trees planted serve as living memorials, embodying the courage and dedication of those who laid down their lives in service to the nation.
Following the plantation drive, a special interaction was held with the families of the martyrs. This interaction emphasized the ongoing commitment of the police force to honor the memory of their fallen colleagues, ensuring that their sacrifices are remembered with respect and reverence.
The initiative also underscores the importance of promoting a greener environment, aligning with broader environmental goals while paying homage to the heroes of J&K Police.
