Home Minister Jk Visit Cancelled Due to Unfavorable Weather
The planned visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Jammu and Kashmir has been called off due to the prevailing uncertain weather conditions in the region, according to officials.
The Home Minister’s office received information that the scheduled visit on Tuesday has been cancelled due to the unpredictable weather conditions in the Union Territory. The officials stated, “If required, the new schedule will be announced by the office accordingly.”
Amit Shah was initially set to participate in the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra,’ a Central government program, in Jammu. The agenda also included inaugurating projects valued at Rs 1,379 crore, such as E-buses, and laying the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 2,348 crore.
Additionally, the Home Minister had plans to conduct a security review in Rajouri-Poonch and other parts of the Union Territory. The cancellation is a result of the current unpredictable weather conditions impacting the feasibility of the visit.
