
Health department to start different activities under Our Health Our Responsibility Campaign

On the directions of Administrative Secretary Health & ME, Sh Bhupinder Kumar and in order to ensure the health & well being of the general public, health department (IDSP Unit) Doda organized a meeting of various sectoral departments on “Our Health Our Responsibility” campaign, today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr Ab Hamid Zargar and was attended by officers/representatives from different departments including Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr Mayan ud Din Gures, Executive Officer Municipal Council Doda Sh Yousuf Ul Umar, Sh Javed Iqbal Bangroo (Food Safety Officer), Sh Suhail Ahanger, JE Jal Shakti Department, Range Officer Wild Life Department besides Epidemiologist Umar Anayat Khan, Sh Jahangir Mehta, Sh Rishi Pandita, Sh Sanjeev Rana, Sh Mashhood Latief and Sh Faizan A Tramboo.
Earlier, the meeting was started with the welcome address by Epidemiologist Sh Umar Anayat, who also briefed all the participants about this new initiative to be started by the health department in coordination with different inter-sectoral departments besides presented in detail different activities to be taken under this new campaign through power point presentation under theme i.e “Good Health & No Disease”.After threadbare discussions, the CMO Doda Dr Zargar also underlines the initiatives to be taken to conduct different activities under the campaign which shall start in the different parts of the district by this month.
CMO Doda also entrusted upon all the participants that with the collective and joint efforts of all, we shall start the drive in order to make the people aware about various initiatives under Our Health Our Responsibility campaign, so that the desired target fixed to meet this new initiative shall be achieved.It was further pointed out in the meeting that the aim of this campaign is to check the rising incidences of both lifestyle and communicable diseases through awareness programmes.
Moreover, it was also informed by the CMO that during this month, the health department in coordination with Municipal Committees, Animal Husbandry, Jal Shakti, Wild Life and Food and Safety Department shall organize a series of awareness programmes viz water testing, food borne disease awareness, house to house visit, spraying, Hb check, generation of ABHA Ids, rabies & snake bite awareness programmes, through community mobilization, strengthening surveillance, inter-sectoral coordination and to maintain healthy life style.
