A fire incident occurred in the Frisal area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir on Wednesday, resulting in damage to both a mosque and a residential house.

According to an official statement provided to the news agency Kashmir Scroll, a residential property caught fire during the night, leading to its complete destruction. The fire subsequently spread, causing damage to the rooftop of the two-story Jamia Masjid (mosque). The situation was eventually brought under control after several hours of concerted efforts by the police, firefighters, and local residents.

The official stated that the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and further details will be ascertained as part of the ongoing inquiry.
