Father-Son Duo Charged in Jammu for Forging School Leaving Certificate and Govt. Job Scam
The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Jammu has recently taken significant action against a father-son duo in a case that has sent shockwaves through the region. Mukhtyar Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed and a resident of Village Sunderpur in Tehsil R.S Pura, with an address at Rajiv Nagar Nirwal Bala in Jammu, along with his father Bashir Ahmed, who hails from the same village, is now facing legal consequences. The charges against them stem from their alleged involvement in a criminal conspiracy, where they forged a false school leaving certificate to secure a government job in the Power Development Department of Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in substantial losses to the government exchequer.
A Deceptive Scheme Unveiled
The case unfolded when Sarfarz Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed and a resident of Village Sunderpur in Tehsil R.S Pura, District Jammu, lodged a written complaint. His complaint alleged that the school leaving certificate issued in favor of Mukhtyar Ahmed in 1979 was not genuine. To bolster his claim, he referred to the fact that admission number 1311 belonged to one Nazia Bano, daughter of Naseer Ahmed. As a result, the school leaving certificate presented by Mukhtyar Ahmed to the Power Development Department was deemed counterfeit. This fraudulent act effectively cheated the PDD J&K, allowing Mukhtyar Ahmed to secure a government job.

From Complaint to Investigation

Consequently, an in-depth investigation was launched, leading to the registration of the case. Pertinent records were obtained and seized from the relevant school and the Power Development Department of J&K. Witnesses were interviewed, and circumstantial and material evidence was meticulously collected.
Criminal Conspiracy Revealed
The investigation revealed that Mukhtyar Ahmed, in collusion with his father, had orchestrated a criminal conspiracy to fabricate a fraudulent document, which was then used to acquire a government job. The charges under sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code were successfully substantiated against the accused.
Legal Action Taken
With the case now fully investigated, the charge sheet has been presented in a court of law, where the judicial determination of their fate will take place. The legal system will now determine the outcome for Mukhtyar Ahmed and Bashir Ahmed, as they face the consequences of their actions. The Economic Offences Wing and the Crime Branch Jammu are committed to upholding the law and ensuring justice is served in cases such as this one.
