Fatal Accident in Surat: One Dead, Eight Injured in Bus Collision

Tragedy struck in Surat as a bus collided with multiple vehicles on Saturday night, leaving one person dead and eight others injured. Shalini Agarwal, Commissioner of the Surat Municipal Corporation, confirmed the incident, stating that nine individuals were initially injured in the collision, with one succumbing to their injuries while the rest are currently undergoing treatment.

State Education Minister Praful Pansheriya visited the injured individuals receiving treatment at the hospital. The municipal commissioner highlighted ongoing police investigations into the accident, mentioning that necessary actions will be taken based on the findings of the probe.

“Pending further details, we await additional information,” she concluded.
