Farooq Abdullah Faces Questioning Over Financial Irregularities in JK Cricket Association
Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president and Member of Parliament, Farooq Abdullah, is scheduled to undergo questioning by the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday in connection with purported financial irregularities within the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association. This development marks him as the most recent opposition figure to be summoned by the central probe agency.
Abdullah is under scrutiny in a case involving the alleged misappropriation of funds belonging to the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association. The funds in question are suspected to have been diverted to personal bank accounts, including those belonging to office bearers of the cricket association. The Enforcement Directorate launched a money laundering investigation after a chargesheet was filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation against the association’s office bearers.
