On Saturday, the Health Department took action against an alleged doctor in the Anantnag district of south Kashmir, leading to the closure of his clinic.

A circular issued by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Zagoo stated, “The undersigned has received information about an alleged fake doctor practicing in Anantnag. In response to this matter, a team of Officers/Officials was dispatched from this office to seal the clinic promptly. An ongoing investigation is underway.”

In an effort to enhance transparency within the healthcare system, the circular further directs all Private Hospitals/Clinics in District Anantnag to provide information about the doctors practicing in their establishments. They are instructed to submit the required details using the provided proforma within the next three days.
