
Explosion in Vibration Machine Injures Eight Laborers in Anantnag
An unfortunate incident occurred in the Larkipora area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to at least eight laborers. The incident was caused by an explosion within a cement mix settling vibration machine, which created a panic among local residents.
The Incident
The explosion took place near a local market and was a result of a malfunction or mishap involving the cement mix settling vibration machine. As a consequence of the blast, eight non-local laborers from Bihar sustained injuries. Promptly, they were rushed to a nearby hospital to receive the necessary medical attention.
Injured Laborers
The injured individuals have been identified as follows:
- Chato Kumar, son of Soria Kumar (18)
- Param Jeet, son of Jitender (22)
- Bhawan Kumar, son of Mohan Kumar (21)
- Fiqan, son of Nanda Lal (17)
- Jiten, son of Nanda Reshi (21)
- Titu Kumar, son of Mahir Reshi (23)
- Matlesh Kumar, son of Ganesh Kumar (19)
- Shan Kumar, son of Nanda Reshi (17)
All of them are residents of Bihar, highlighting the diverse workforce that contributes to various regions of India.

Police Statement
The Kashmir Zone Police provided information regarding the incident, emphasizing that the explosion occurred within the cement mix settling vibration machine. Additionally, it was noted that a portable generator and a tin can of oil were involved and were being transported with the laborers in a load carrier at Larkipora, Anantnag.
While the explosion resulted in injuries to the laborers, it was emphasized that there was no indication of any terrorist involvement or malicious intent. An investigation into the incident has been initiated to determine the specific causes and circumstances that led to the explosion.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety precautions in various industrial and work settings to prevent such accidents and protect the well-being of workers.
