The bustling Le Meridien Convention Centre in Kochi witnessed the commencement of the twelfth edition of ‘TiEcon Kerala 2023.’ Organized by the Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Kerala Chapter, the two-day mega event was inaugurated by Padma Bhushan Suchitra Ella, MD of Bharat Biotech International Ltd.

Ella stressed the critical need for entrepreneurs to address challenges in vital sectors such as agriculture, education, healthcare, and research and development. She underscored the significance of technological interventions in agriculture to ensure food security amidst climate change challenges.

Highlighting the vast opportunities in health and wellness, Ella urged entrepreneurs to focus on future technologies like vaccines, personalized medicine, and early detection systems. She shared Bharat Biotech’s journey, especially their groundbreaking work on COVAXIN during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arun Mammen, Managing Director of MRF Limited, shed light on the symbiotic relationship between business, specifically in the tire industry, and sports. He illustrated MRF’s strategic focus on motorsports and cricket, aligning with their customer base.

The event showcased the release of the book “BEYOND THREE GENERATIONS,” unraveling the secrets behind the success of 12 family-run enterprises. The TiE Kerala Awards recognized outstanding contributions in various categories.

The conference, themed “Driving the Change – Unlocking Potential,” offered a platform for industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers. It focused on Agriculture, Education, Assisted Living, Health and Wellness, and Research and Development.

The second day promised a diverse lineup of speakers, networking opportunities, and knowledge exchange sessions. Over a thousand delegates, 40+ speakers, and 50+ investors attended the event, fostering collaborations and discussions on entrepreneurial growth and innovation.
