Elon Musk, owner of Starlink, issued warnings about the pressure facing Starlink satellites amidst a powerful geomagnetic storm hitting Earth, as reported by Fox News. The Space Weather Prediction Centre (SWPC) noted that the storm reached level 5 on the geomagnetic activity scale, the highest since October 2003.

Starlink, with about 6,000 satellites in low-earth orbit, delivers high-speed internet globally and warned of “degraded service” earlier due to the storm. The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) highlighted risks including potential disruptions to navigation, power grids, and satellite navigation services on Earth.
