During a recent search operation in the Keran area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, authorities uncovered drugs and ammunition. The operation, conducted on Monday evening by the Kupwara police in collaboration with 06 RR near Ziyarat Sharief Keran along the banks of the Kishan Ganga river under the jurisdiction of the Keran police station, resulted in significant findings.

According to sources cited by Kashmir Scroll, the recoveries from the search operation included one Ak 56 Rifle, one Ak 56 Magazine, and 10 packets containing a substance resembling Brown Sugar. A case (FIR No. 01/2024) has been registered under the relevant sections of the law, and further investigation is underway to probe the matter in depth.
