Drug peddlers arrested in Shopian; heroin worth crores seized

The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Anti-Narcotics Task Force successfully intercepted two drug peddlers, Talib Hussain Seer and Mohammad Azim Seer, both residents of Shopian.

Acting on specific information, the police apprehended the suspects who were transporting a significant quantity of heroin on a motorcycle destined for sale among other drug peddlers in Vehil Shopian.

The operation led to the recovery of 500 grams of heroin, valued in crores, concealed beneath the motorcycle seat. Subsequently, a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with ongoing investigations into the matter.
