Fatal Accident on Jammu-Srinagar Highway
In a tragic incident that unfolded on the Jammu-Srinagar Highway at approximately 6 a.m. today, a collision involving an ECCO vehicle and an unidentified speeding truck near Qazigund left seven members of a family from Kastigarh Doda injured. As per the sources, out of seven, one individual succumbed to their injuries later at GMC Anantnag.The accident captured on CCTV footage, has since gone viral on social media.

As per insider information, the incident unfolded near the Walnut Factory located in Qazigund. The ill-fated ECCO vehicle, bearing the registration number JK06B-0901, was purportedly in the process of executing a U-turn when the unfortunate collision unfolded. Video footage vividly portrays the ECCO engaged in its maneuver just before the high-speed truck collided with it. Regrettably, the force of the impact resulted in the ECCO overturning, leading to this tragic outcome.

The injured individuals have been identified as follows:
- GH Qadir Bhat, son of Mohd Abdullah
- Mohd Niyaz Bhat (alias Nawaz Bhat), son of GH Qadir
- Mumtaz Ahmad Bhat, son of GH Qadir
- Mubeena Begum, wife of Niyaz Ahmad Bhat
- Mehvish Akhter, daughter of Mohd Niyaz
- Maroof Mumtaz Bhat, son of Mohd Niyaz
- Absha Banoo, daughter of Mohd Niyaz
All the individuals involved are residents of the Kotli Panchayat in the Kastigarh area of Doda.
