
Divisional Level Kho-Kho Tournament Kicks Off with Enthusiasm in Doda
Doda, September 26: The Divisional Level Kho-Kho tournament for boys of all age groups commenced with great enthusiasm at the Sports Stadium in Doda. The event was inaugurated by Jaffer Haider Sheikh, the District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) of Doda, in the presence of several delegates and officials from the youth services and sports department.
Journey from Across Jammu Division
Teams representing various districts of Jammu Division, including Doda, Reasi, Kathua, Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Ramban, Samba, and Udhampur, safely arrived at the venue. Ensuring the comfort of the out-station teams, the organizers have arranged excellent boarding and lodging facilities. Medical support is also readily available, thanks to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Doda.
Grand Opening Ceremony
The tournament kicked off with a grand parade and an oath of fair play, setting the stage for a spirited competition among the young athletes. The inaugural day featured matches for the U/14 age group.

In the opening match, Poonch emerged victorious over Reasi, securing a 3-point lead. In another thrilling encounter, Kathua outperformed Ramban by a significant margin of 7 points. The match between Kishtwar and Doda showcased Doda’s dominance as they clinched victory by an inning and 3 points.
