    Sets 10th October as the deadline for submission of Bills of the completed works

    Deputy Commissioner (In-Charge)/ADDC Kishtwar, Sham Lal JKAS,today chaired a meeting with officers of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Kishtwar to assess the progress of works under the Area Development Plan (District Capex budget for the year 2023-24).

    The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; ACD Kishtwar Manoj Kumar; DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal; all BDOs; EXEn ReW; AEEs; AEs; TAs; JEs; and other field functionaries.

    During the meeting, the chair conducted a work-wise review of the physical and financial progress of work taken under ADP. The DC scrutinized the allotment of works, works initiated on the ground, works completed, tendering, and other related issues.

    The chair expressed satisfaction with the 100% completion of tendering for the projected works. Additionally, he was informed that 95% of the works have already been alloted and are under execution at different stages.

    He directed the officers to meet completion targets and ensure the expenditure of released funds. Additionally, he emphasized personal monitoring of the quality and progress of all allotted works.Special emphasis was placed on billing of the completed works by October 10, 2023.

    Concerned officers to commensurate the financial expenditure with achieved physical targets.The chair stressed upon officers to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their timely completion.All district/sectoral officers were directed to exert maximum efforts for fund utilization under different schemes.

    BDOs were tasked with ensuring cent percent expenditure on completed works.Furthermore, the concerned officials ,field functionaries and technical assistants were instructed to ensure punctuality in the field. Failure to comply may result in strict action against erring officers and officials.
