DEO Doda reviews transport plan in district
DODA, MARCH 30: District Election Officer (DEO), Doda Harvinder Singh, today chaired a comprehensive meeting here in the conference hall of the DC office complex, to assess the transport plan for upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The stakeholders, during the meeting, presented roadmaps for smooth movement in view of election activities, followed by a detailed discussion on all routes pertaining to the event.Adc Bhaderwah, ACR, District Program Officer Poshan Project, SDM Assar, ACD, Deputy District Election Officer, AROs, CMO, CEO, ARTO, Tehsildars and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed various aspects related to elections like power supply, lighting, accommodation, and toilet facilities at election sites. Intermediate strong room facilities and arrangements for Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were also addressed, along with plans for the movement of polling parties and voter awareness programs during the elections.
The DEO laid emphasis on the proper functioning of strong rooms. The AROs were tasked to ensure adequate facilities at polling stations.The DEO stressed on the need to enhance voter participation through SVEEP campaign and awareness programs.
Additionally, officials were directed to conduct cleanliness drives at polling booths to ensure their hygiene.Detailed planning, including vehicle arrangements for sector officers and zonal magistrates, was outlined through route maps prepared by concerned Tehsildars.The meeting concluded with directives to maximize voter turnout and ensure meticulous arrangements at every stage of the electoral process.
