A crucial review meeting chaired by District Election Officer (DEO) Harvinder Singh took place at the DC Office Complex Doda on September 10, 2024, in preparation for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections.
This meeting aimed to streamline the roles and responsibilities of Zonal and Sector Magistrates, ensuring that all personnel are well-equipped for their duties.
The DEO outlined the core election-related responsibilities, including the proper handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), arrangements at polling stations, and implementing robust security measures. These preparations are essential to ensure that the election process is smooth, transparent, and secure.
Harvinder Singh stressed the importance of maintaining clear lines of communication and strictly following the guidelines set by the Election Commission of India.
