Delhi High Court Summons PWD Principal Secretary Over Non-Payment for COVID Care Centre
The Delhi High Court has summoned the Principal Secretary of the Public Works Department (PWD) of the Delhi Government in relation to the non-payment for the construction of the Sardar Patel Covid Care Centre with 10,000 beds in Chhatarpur in 2020. The court directed the Principal Secretary to appear and gave four weeks to respond. The matter is related to the delayed payment for services provided in constructing the COVID care facility. The high court had earlier directed the chief secretary to address the issue in March 2023, expressing concern about the delay and potential congestion at the airport.
