Delhi Excise Policy case: Manish Sisodia’s custody extended to April 6

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia until April 6, the next date of hearing in the Delhi Excise Policy case. Sisodia, the former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader, appeared in court for the hearing.

    CBI Opposes Bail Plea

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) opposed Sisodia’s bail plea in court, expressing concerns that some high-profile individuals might be arrested in connection with the Delhi Excise policy case. The CBI emphasized the ongoing investigation and the potential for interference by the accused.

    Allegations Against Kavitha

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate alleged that Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha conspired with top AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, in the Delhi Excise policy formulation. The ED claimed that Kavitha was involved in paying Rs 100 crore to AAP leaders in exchange for favors related to the policy.
