DC Kishtwar Flags Off Shri Mindal Mata Yatra

Kishtwar, June 2, 2025: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Sh. Rajesh Kumar Shavan (JKAS), welcomed and flagged off the first batch of Shri Mindal Mata Yatra from the historic Gori Shankar Mandir Kishtwar.

The yatra is managed and organised by Aadi Shakti Devi Chandike Sewak Sanstha Doda, J&K, led by Sh. Pyar Singh Ji Maa Sevak (Chief Patron) and Prof. D. S. Manhas ( President).

The yatra will proceed via Gulabgarh-Sansari-Himachal road to the holy shrine

The DC informed that full arrangements have been made enroute for the pilgrims besides assured full cooperation for the successful culmination of the yatra and advised pilgrims to maintain cleanliness and drive carefully in the hilly terrain.

He highlighted the significance of pilgrimages in promoting peace, prosperity, communal harmony, and secularism.

DC requested pilgrims to pray for the well-being of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and District Kishtwar.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Shri Mindal Mata Mandir, located in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, attracts thousands of pilgrims every year.
