
DC Kishtwar Disburses Compensation to 5 Families of Road Accident Victims; Cases Submitted by ARTO Kishtwar
Kishtwar, 11-07-2025: In a considerate gesture to ease the hardship of grieving families, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS), today disbursed a total of Rs. 4.5 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund, based on the cases submitted by ARTO Kishtwar, Tasleem Wani (JKAS).
An amount of Rs. 1 lakh each was disbursed to the legal heirs of four deceased victims of road accidents & Rs 50,000 to a grievously injured patient.
This government initiative aims to extend support to those affected by such tragic incidents and underscores its ongoing commitment to assist bereaved families.

The families who received compensation included Methuan Kumar s/o Bansi Lal Thakur R/o Hakoo Pallali Paddar,Anjan Kumar s/o Bodh Raj R/o Pallali Paddar,Mohd Yaseen Bhawani s/o Mohd Azim R/o Sigdi Bhatta,Mohd Akbar s/o Amer Malik R/o Passarkot Chatroo & Manjeet Kumar s/o Krishan Chand R/o Sarthal Kishtwar.
This distribution marks an essential step in providing financial assistance and acknowledging the distress faced by the families of road accident victims.
