DC Kishtwar Conducts Assessment of Tribal Welfare Initiatives Implementation
In a proactive move, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav of Kishtwar led a comprehensive meeting today to assess the progress of Tribal Welfare initiatives.
The gathering saw the participation of crucial stakeholders, officers, as well as Sarpanches and Panches from Gram Panchayats with a significant Schedule Tribe population. The focal point of the meeting was a thorough examination of the beneficiary list earmarked for the distribution of Biomass Cooking-stoves and Solar Home Lighting Systems. It is noteworthy that these resources are specifically designated for the Nomadic population, identified through a survey carried out by the Tribal Affairs Department in conjunction with District Development Commissioners in 2021.
Additionally, the meeting delved into various other agendas, with a primary focus on addressing the concerns and challenges encountered by the Schedule Tribe Panchayats.
