Cybercrime Investigation Unit Kishtwar recovers defrauded amout, police urges public to remain vigilant

Kishtwar, Nov. 14, 2024:

District Police Kishtwar has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to combating cybercrime, successfully resolving a significant case and recovering defrauded funds amounting to ₹1,76,000 (One lakh seventy-six thousand rupees).

In this recent breakthrough, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit, led by PSI Moin Khan, tackled multiple cases of online fraud, achieving a recovery ₹ 1,76,000 (ONE LAKH SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND).

These scams included mobile recharge frauds, unauthorized third-party app installations, deceptive Telegram links promoting fake Aadhaar card updates, and fraudulent trading app schemes.

Since its establishment, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit Kishtwar has recovered a total of ₹47,86,618 (Forty-seven lakh eighty-six thousand six hundred eighteen rupees), underscoring its dedication to protecting the citizens of Kishtwar from cyber fraud.

District Police Kishtwar urges the public to remain vigilant against online scams. Avoid suspicious links, unauthorized app installations, and sharing personal information online.
