    Doda, February 13, 2025 – The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of J&K Police District Doda has successfully recovered an online defrauded amount of Rs. 3,60,200, showcasing its professionalism and commitment to combating cybercrime.

    According to a statement issued by J&K Police, the unit received online complaints from five individuals who had fallen victim to cyber fraud. The complainants are:

    1. Mohd Yousaf, S/O Nazir Ahmed
    2. Mohd Rashid, S/O Ghulam Mohin Din
    3. Abhishek Verma, S/O Santosh Verma
    4. Raja Aniees Ahmed Wani, S/O Abdul Rafiq Wani
    5. Moazim Iqbal, S/O Mohd Iqbal Zargar

    The CCIU team applied advanced technical expertise and dedicated efforts during the investigation, which led to the successful recovery of the defrauded money.

    Notably, the CCIU Doda, which was established on February 7, 2024, has recovered a total of Rs. 33,61,584 in online fraud cases since its formation.

    SSP Doda, Sh. Sandeep Mehta JKPS, has urged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious cyber activities promptly. He encouraged people to contact the National Helpline at 1930 or file cyber complaints online at www.cybercrime.gov.in. For lost or stolen mobile devices, reports can be made at www.ceir.gov.in.
