Court Bars Zareen Khan from Traveling Abroad in Cheating Case
In a recent development, a city court has directed Bollywood actress Zareen Khan not to travel abroad without its prior permission concerning a cheating case registered at Narkeldanga police station.
The Sealdah court, after hearing Khan’s counsel, granted her interim bail until December 26, requiring a personal bond of Rs 30,000 and forbidding her from leaving the country without obtaining prior consent from Kolkata Police.
Additionally, the court ordered Khan, who arrived in Kolkata from Mumbai, to attend every hearing as directed.
The case revolves around an incident from 2018, where the actress purportedly accepted an advance payment of approximately Rs 12 lakh to perform at a Durga Puja event in Kolkata.
However, she allegedly failed to honor the commitment, leading the organizers to file a complaint against her and her manager at Narkeldanga police station.
Earlier in September, the court issued an arrest warrant against Zareen Khan concerning this case, marking a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings.
