COAS General Surveys Poonch Sector Amid Anti-Terror Operation
The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Manoj Pande, undertook a visit to the Poonch sector in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday to assess the security conditions in the region.
This visit by the Army chief coincided with the ongoing efforts of the security forces involved in an anti-terrorism operation, which was initiated in response to a targeted attack that resulted in the unfortunate loss of four soldiers in the Poonch district last week.
In a communication posted on X, the spokesperson for the Indian Army reported, “General Manoj Pande #COAS toured the #Poonch sector and received a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security scenario. During the visit, #COAS engaged with the ground commanders, urging them to execute operations with the utmost professionalism and to demonstrate unwavering resolve and steadfastness in the face of all challenges.”
