In preparation for the upcoming Assembly elections, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda, Parkash Lal Thapa, who also holds the roles of Nodal Officer for Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) and SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation), conducted a vital virtual meeting on August 21.
The meeting brought together Assembly Constituency Level Nodal Officers and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) representing 534 polling stations across the district.
The primary focus of the meeting was to finalize the arrangements for polling station facilities and to strategize the implementation of SVEEP awareness activities in district schools.
Thapa emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among all stakeholders to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election process.
During the meeting, officers were thoroughly briefed on their responsibilities, with an emphasis on the critical role they play in maintaining the integrity of the election.
The CEO underscored the need for diligent planning and execution of tasks to avoid any lapses in the election process.
A comprehensive plan for SVEEP activities is set to be shared with all Heads of Institutions in the coming days. This plan will detail the schedule of activities aimed at increasing voter awareness and participation.
Zonal In-charge Coordinators (ZICCs) were directed to communicate the schedule to all relevant parties and to ensure that timely reporting is carried out to keep higher authorities informed.
With these initiatives, the CEO expressed confidence in the district’s preparedness to conduct the elections smoothly, ensuring that all necessary facilities and educational efforts are in place to support a successful democratic process.
