The Central University of Jammu recently hosted the ‘Yuvamanthan Model G20’ event, a dynamic platform aimed at harnessing the energy and potential of young minds. Dr. Amita Gupta efficiently coordinated this engaging summit, which saw active participation from more than 72 students, each assuming the role of a leader from a G20 nation. One of the significant outcomes of the deliberations was a shared consensus on “Peace building and Reconciliation: Ushering in an Era of No War.”
A Learning Opportunity for Tomorrow’s Leaders
During the event, Prof. Sanjeev Jain, the Vice-Chancellor of CUJ, emphasized the importance of the ‘Yuvamanthan Model G20’ as a valuable learning opportunity for students. He highlighted the development of essential skills such as public speaking, strategy building, team collaboration, and multilateral negotiations. These skills not only enrich their educational experience but also empower them to contribute to a more harmonious world.
Youth as Agents of Change
The distinguished guests of honor, including Prof. B. S. Bhau, Prof. Deepak Pathania, Prof. Vandana Sharma, and Prof. Jaya Bhaseen, underscored the pivotal role of youth in influencing change in today’s world. They acknowledged that platforms like the ‘Yuvamanthan Model G20’ are instrumental in transforming innovative ideas into practical solutions, guiding us toward a more sustainable and inclusive global community.
Recognizing Excellence
In the concluding moments of the summit, teams and individuals were acknowledged for their exceptional performances. In the “Best Team” category, India, represented by the dynamic duo of Sooraj Bhan and Dipeesh Kumar, claimed the top honor. Brazil, with representatives Rupali Singh and Sachin Kumar, secured the second position. The third prize was awarded to Australia’s Sachiv Gupta and Stuti Sharma, while Indonesia, represented by Ankit Mishra and Rajni Sharma, received a consolation prize.
The “Best Head of State” category recognized Indonesia’s Ankit Mishra with the first prize. Japan’s Abhigya Langeh secured the second position, and the European Union, represented by Nahila Tabassum, was awarded the third prize. The United States, represented by Harsh Pratap Singh Hada, received the consolation prize.
In the “Best Finance Minister” category, Dipeesh Kumar from India was honored with the top prize. The second prize went to Russia’s Aditya Singh, while Australia, represented by Stuti Sharma, claimed the third prize. The United States, represented by Vipin Tiwari, received the consolation prize in this category.
Lastly, the prestigious “Best Leader” prize was bestowed upon Sooraj Bhan Sharma in recognition of his exceptional leadership qualities.
The ‘Yuvamanthan Model G20’ not only provides a platform for intellectual engagement but also nurtures the leadership potential of young minds, paving the way for a brighter and more peaceful future.
