Actor Vishal Exposes Corruption Claims in Video
Actor Vishal took to social media to post a video in which he accused two individuals from the censor board of demanding a bribe to certify the Hindi version of his film. He alleged that he was forced to pay Rs 6.5 lakh to obtain the certificate, citing technical issues with the online application process.
Government’s Swift Response
The ruling BJP and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry responded swiftly to the actor’s allegations. A senior officer was dispatched to Mumbai to conduct an inquiry into the matter.
The CBI’s involvement indicates the seriousness with which the government is treating these allegations of corruption within the CBFC.
