Suspected Network of Fraudulent Visa Agents Uncovered
The British High Commission has taken a significant step in combating visa fraud by alerting Delhi Police to the presence of fraudulent visa agents operating in and around Delhi. These agents have reportedly been aiding individuals in Haryana, Gujarat, and Punjab in obtaining visas through forged documents.
Sophisticated Visa Scam Uncovered
According to the complaint lodged by Andrew Longley, Third Secretary (Immigration) Immigration Enforcement International at the British Deputy High Commission in New Delhi, it is believed that these agents are part of a larger, organized criminal network. These unscrupulous agents and their associates are suspected of providing counterfeit and forged documents to the British High Commission in New Delhi, with the aim of facilitating visa applications to the United Kingdom.

An in-depth analysis of the situation has revealed that two main agents have been responsible for submitting at least 164 visa applications, utilizing eight different credit cards in their fraudulent activities. Shockingly, 107 of these applications have been found to contain counterfeit and forged supporting documents.
Personal Information of Perpetrators in Possession
Furthermore, the British High Commission has shared crucial information with Delhi Police, including personal details and contact information of the alleged perpetrators. This move is expected to greatly assist the ongoing investigation.
Police Initiate Action
The authorities are wasting no time in addressing this issue. An FIR has been registered at the Chanakyapuri police station under relevant sections, and a comprehensive investigation has been launched. Police teams on the ground are actively verifying the data, and appropriate legal actions will be taken against those involved.
This collaboration between the British High Commission and Delhi Police underscores the importance of international cooperation in combating visa fraud and upholding the integrity of immigration processes. It sends a clear message that such illegal activities will not be tolerated and will be met with strict legal consequences.
