On July 31, 2024, the Government Higher Secondary School for Boys in Bhaderwah celebrated its 100th anniversary with a grand event. The centennial celebration was a significant milestone, reflecting the school’s enduring legacy of educational excellence. The event was honored by the presence of Harvinder Singh as the chief guest and Bal Krishan, CEO of the Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA), as the guest of honor.
Educationist Arif Rana meticulously coordinated the proceedings, ensuring the event ran smoothly. During the celebration, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Doda praised the school’s rich history and legacy. He encouraged the students to strive for excellence, highlighting the importance of education in shaping their futures.
A major highlight of the event was the launch of the school’s first annual magazine, “Neeru-E-Saga.” This magazine showcases the creativity and achievements of the students, serving as a testament to their hard work and the school’s supportive educational environment. The unveiling of “Neeru-E-Saga” marked a proud moment for the school, celebrating the students’ talents and the school’s accomplishments.
The celebration saw the attendance of several notable figures, including DDC Chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal, Vice Chairperson DDC Sangeeta Rani, and Principal Dr. Nazir Ahmed Butt. The presence of past and present students, as well as senior citizens, added to the event’s significance, creating a sense of community and shared history.
