Boeing’s latest widebody aircraft, the 777-9, is scheduled to make its first appearance in India at Wings India 2024 in Hyderabad.
Expected to arrive on January 16, the aircraft will be on static display for visitors from January 18-19.
Air India is set to receive ten 777-9s as part of its substantial order placed in 2023, contributing to fleet expansion and meeting the growing demand for international air travel in the South Asian market.
The 777-9, based on the successful 777 and incorporating technologies from the 787 Dreamliner family, is touted as the world’s largest and one of the most efficient twin-engine jets.
Boeing has received over 450 orders for the 777X family, including the 777-9 passenger model and 777-8 Freighter.
